It all began with a simple problem: I couldn’t find a hardcover copy of ‘Becoming’ by Michelle Obama anywhere in Trinidad. When I finally did, I was placed on a long waiting list, and the price was three times what I’d seen online. That moment sparked an idea—what if there were a local, reliable way to get the books we actually wanted, without the ridiculous price tag or long wait?
So, I started BookBarTT in early 2021—first as a passion project, and then as a growing community of book lovers just like me. At BookBarTT, we focus on real books for real readers. That means current, in-demand titles, fair pricing, and a personal touch in every order. We’re not a big store—we’re a small, bookish space where every customer feels seen and appreciated. We even hand-pack your books with bookmarks and notes, just because we care.
