About the Author
Clarine Cayenne-Stewart has always moved to the rhythm of her culture. Starting her journey at the age of 10 as a dancer, singer and dramatist in the Best Village and Secondary Schools’ Drama Festival arenas, she developed a unique voice that eventually transitioned from the stage to the page. Clarine has always been very active, being involved in athletics, netball and cricket to name a few sports.
Today, Clarine is a powerhouse storyteller. She creates spoken word, monologues, songs and plays, noting her accomplishments in placing 3rd in the Prime Minister’s Best Village scriptwriting competition 2021, Talent Quest Point Fortin 1st Place winner 2004. Her evolution continues as the author of three published books; Her series Red, White and You with her first two books The Dream and The Calling and her Folklore series Caribbean Legends- Ryan’s Encounter. She is not only producing on paper but also on screen, she is the writer/producer of two short films where her first Short was featured in Film and Folklore Festival 2026.
Beyond the arts, Clarine is a pillar in her community serving as an educator for over two decades, a Lay Minister in the Catholic Church and a leader in youth and young adult ministry.
Clarine has been an avid member of The Society of Saint Vincent De Paul helping raise funds for homes across Trinidad and Tobago.
She is also the Founder of Womentum Events where the group seeks to help empower and aid women. A wife and mother of [two] daughters, Clarine brings passion, discipline, and heart to every story she tells.
